My girlfriend has been my best friend for a long time. We always had a thing for each other and it was only a matter of time before we got together. I love her so much and I know she is the one so when I propose, I want to make sure its something she will never forget! Problem is... I have anxiety and nervousness issues. I am very afraid that I will freeze up or have a panic attack. The more I think about it the more scared I get. I have it all planned out. I want to recreate one of my most favorite memories. It was a hot summer night in june, before we got together. I told her I had something to show her. I found this spot a few towns over. In between 4 different highways there is a square spot of land, about 20 acres I imagine. In it there is a park that you would never find unless you already knew it was there. I found it only by mistake. I decided to investigate it and what I found was so amazing that I could only think of sharing it with her. Obviously Its a little strange to take her into the woods, off the side of the highway, in the middle of the night, with no flash light. We pulled into the very small dirt parking lot. On the edge of the woods you can see a small dirt path and a wooden sign with the name of the park (Which slips my mind at the moment). I led her down the small path and over a small wooden bridge until we found the river and followed the river to the right. About 50 yards away we could see twinkling lights and I knew we were close. Along the way she pointed out a few lightning bugs. We arrived at the spot with the river on one side of the path and the forest on the other. We stood together and watched. The trees create a canopy so that only very small beams of moonlight shine through. The wild flowers that grow underneath were in full bloom. Among the trees there were thousands and thousands of fireflies! More than you could even imagine! All of them blinking separate and random times. It was like fireworks! When you first see it you are stunned by the chaos of tiny flashing lights all around you. It was like floating through space with stars all around you. I can't think of a more perfect place to pop the question. I'm just afraid my nervous problem will ruin it.
