A Wedding Without the Wait in MA

In early December I spent a lovely morning in Cambridge MA with Sandy and Gloria from FL. The couple had already had a wedding in the Sunshine State and now wanted to make it legal - in one day. We left their hotel early in the morning and headed to Cambridge City Hall to apply for the license. With confirmation of filing in hand, our next stop was Middlesex County Court to apply for a waiver for the 3-day waiting period that applies to marriage licenses in MA. Small Requests Just as Important

I was recently contacted by a bride-to-be from SC who was planning to wed her partner during their vacation in Provincetown this summer. They have never been to P'town so had no idea where to start when looking for accommodation or a JP. That is all she needed, no frills, but I was happy to help. I also suggested she think about going in September rather than July as initially planned, especially because she was on a budget. If you are planning to wed in Boston and are looking for a quiet waterfront location, there are some very pretty sites south and north of the city, less than an hour's drive away. Here are a couple of examples. Thank you so much for all of your thoughtful posts - it's just what we wanted. We launched the forum awhile back but it was really "hidden" until January this year when we opened it up to anyone who wanted to join. It has been difficult for me to get everyone to interact - thanks very much. Once we recover/ get caught up in NY it's definitely on my to-do list to put hours into the forum to improve it for everyone. Then I have to conquer FB. We finally figured out twitter. Thanks again!
