Profile Information

Introduce Yourself - Tell us a little bit about you.
I got my start in event planning in a completely un-related line of work. My background is in communications and I worked for several years as a civil servant. I also volunteered for nearly ten years in television production and thoroughly enjoyed being able to utilize my programming and technical experience to make live television happen. I began to work during my college years in hospitality and you could say I never looked back. I transitioned throughout hospitality management and eventually established my own event management firm. Today, all I do is events. I work at a convention property overseeing the execution of daily events and in addition to my LGBT wedding planning work, I also own a full service event management firm (Umbrella Management Group) dedicated to producing conferences, galas, trade shows and meetings.
