If you are planning to wed in Boston and are looking for a quiet waterfront location, there are some very pretty sites south and north of the city, less than an hour's drive away. Here are a couple of examples. Marblehead on the north shore, has three parks that overlook the ocean and/or harbor that is always teeming with sailboats - Lighthouse Point, Fort Sewall, and Crocker Park (which has a gazebo). The views from all of these parks are magnificent and certainly provide a perfect New England backdrop to your photos. On the south shore, Duxbury Beach is one of the nicest and most popular beaches in MA. The bay side of the beach is very quiet and overlooks the town and historic Powder Point Bridge, a perfect spot for a rustic, intimate ceremony away from the crowds. Bumpus Park also in Duxbury is a tiny, secluded park with a gorgeous view of Duxbury Harbor and town, a perfect spot for a sunset ceremony (or any time of course).
I am currently working with a couple who are planning to have a ceremony on the bay side at Duxbury beach at sunset later this month. A chauffered sedan will transport them from their Boston hotel to a secluded spot where I will be waiting with floral bouqutes, a JP and photographer to capture the magic moments. How romantic......
What would be your perfect cermony location?
