I am a gay rights advocate from Oklahoma, USA and am using my recent book released, Living the Difference: an enlightening story revealed for people of all ages straight or gay, as a vehicle to educate society on homosexuality/sexual identity using a more personal approach. The book is getting great reviews with readers showing an inquisitive yearning for more information, both homosexuals and heterosexuals alike. I have received letters from heterosexuals even stating my book has helped with their homophobic attitudes. My book is promoted and sold on various sites worldwide, as well as numerous bookstores. I have done numerous guest spots in the media. Many in the gay community bitch about equality, gay rights, etc.; but do the majority of them do anything about it? No!!!!!!!!!! Do you know the one area that help is needed in to achieve equality? EDUCATION! How can society in today's world accept something and move toward equality in those areas they are uneducated in? Would you vote to change or improve something if you were ignorant of the true facts? Probably not!

The book will help educate all on homosexuality/sexual identity and that it is a part of life and touches virtually everyone in one way or another in this world. It will help shine light and open the minds of those ignorant of homosexuality/sexual identity and will also show us that rather than bitch about our current situation, we should promote education and allow society to see just what being a homosexual, bisexual, or transgender is all about. Don't make it just sexual; most everyone straight or gay has sex...what happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom. Make it who we really are; we are human beings just like everyone else in any society in any part of the world. While we want to keep in the bedroom what happens in the bedroom, we definitely want to feel comfortable in coming out of the closet! Maybe then, we will have a much easier time in achieving equality and making this world a better place for everyone to live in harmony and mutual respect.

THIS IS THE WAY TO GO IN ACHIEVING UNIVERSAL UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE THAT THERE REALLY ARE TWO PREDETERMINED TRAITS OF SEXUAL PREFERENCE, AS WELL AS VIABLE VARIATIONS, AMONG ALL HUMAN BEINGS! Conformity to the more widely known and understood preference, heterosexuality, has just been demanded and expected of everyone from the beginning of time. The world has evolved into a more demanding and argumentative society than many of our older and past philosophers and non-philosophers alike ever thought possible or even probable; many archaic beliefs are finally getting the dusting they deserve to reveal a whole new set of circumstances! THIS IS THE WAY IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN; IT'S JUST NEVER BEEN A PRESSING PRIORITY TO GET THAT INFORMATION IN FRONT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ORDER THAT SOCIETY BE TRULY EDUCATED ON A TOPIC SO MISUNDERSTOOD. THE TIME IS NOW AND THE IGNORANCE WILL STOP!

I have been working diligently in getting my book into the hands of as many individuals, businesses, politicians, etc. as possible as it is definitely going the distance in wiping out many of those homophobic attitudes that exist throughout this world. Why wouldn't we want to try this approach; nothing else really seems to be working without putting forth years/decades of hard work and making only small baby steps in the right direction.  Baby steps are important and we need to continue that, but I am all for trying many different approaches to help us achieve LGBT Equality much quicker and within the lifetime of each and every one of us...
